What Is an Affiliate Link?
An affiliate link is a link that can identify ExoticRugs.com as the source of a visitor sent to another website.
If you follow an affiliate link and complete a qualifying purchase or other qualifying action, the merchant or affiliate network may pay ExoticRugs.com a commission or referral fee.
Affiliate relationships help support the operation of this website, but they do not obligate you to purchase anything. You are always free to visit a retailer directly or purchase from another seller.
What Happens When You Use an Affiliate Link?
When you click certain product or retailer links on ExoticRugs.com, you may be redirected to a third-party website. That website or its affiliate network may use tracking technology to determine that your visit originated here.
If you later make a qualifying purchase within the applicable tracking period, ExoticRugs.com may receive a commission. Commission structures and tracking periods vary by merchant and affiliate program.
The retailer—not ExoticRugs.com—processes your transaction. Questions regarding payment, shipping, returns, warranties, product availability or order problems should generally be directed to the retailer from which you purchased the product.
Affiliate Relationships and Recommendations
The ability to earn a commission does not automatically make a product a good recommendation.
Our goal is to evaluate rugs and rug categories using relevant information such as disclosed materials, construction, dimensions, room suitability, care requirements, design, practical considerations and value.
We do not want affiliate commission rates to determine the conclusions of a review or buying guide.
No Guaranteed Coverage
An affiliate relationship does not guarantee that a retailer, brand or product will appear on ExoticRugs.com.
No Guaranteed Praise
Participation in an affiliate program does not guarantee a positive review or recommendation.
Clear Methodology
Our review approach is explained separately on our How We Review page.
Prices, Promotions and Availability Change
Product prices, discounts, promotions, shipping offers, inventory and other retailer information can change at any time.
Although ExoticRugs.com may reference pricing or availability when useful, information shown on a retailer's website at the time you visit should be treated as the current source for the transaction.
Always verify the final price, dimensions, material, construction, color, shipping terms, return policy and other important product details with the seller before completing a purchase.
References to Products and Retailers
ExoticRugs.com may discuss or link to products from rug manufacturers, retailers, marketplaces and other merchants. The presence of a company or product on this website does not necessarily mean that the company sponsors ExoticRugs.com.
Likewise, the absence of an affiliate relationship does not prevent us from discussing a product or retailer when we believe the information is useful to readers.
Product names, brand names, trademarks and logos belong to their respective owners.
Sponsored Content and Free Products
Affiliate links are different from sponsored content. Affiliate compensation generally depends on a qualifying action after a reader follows a link.
If ExoticRugs.com publishes content that is directly sponsored, paid for by a company, or based on a product provided free for review, our goal is to identify that relationship clearly on the relevant page.
Receiving a product for review should not guarantee positive coverage. If we describe a review as hands-on, the product should actually have been physically evaluated by ExoticRugs.com.
You Never Have to Use Our Affiliate Links
Using an affiliate link is optional. If you prefer, you can search for the retailer or product independently and visit the merchant without using a link from ExoticRugs.com.
Our guides, educational pages and planning tools are available regardless of whether you ultimately make a purchase through an affiliate link.
Disclosure Updates
